The President of VRH
Jonathan E. Dehlinger, Ph.D. joined Vernon, Roche and Hodgson, Inc. in 1993 as a business psychologist and was named president of the firm in 1994. Since that time he has concentrated on progressive growth of the firm's consulting practice while maintaining its
nearly 70 year heritage of professional partnership with clients served. He has assembled a staff, both real and virtual, with expertise in pre-hire assessment, career planning, and executive coaching and development. Typical consulting assignments involve individual evaluations for executive selection and succession planning, career planning for students and adults, and executive
coaching development.
Before joining VRH, Dr. Dehlinger spent nine years with Johnson Controls, Inc. a Fortune 100 diversified manufacturer. Functioning as an internal consultant, his "customers" included line management and human resource staff within each of the company's major business groups. He was involved in the design and delivery of management selection, development and strategic staffing processes that had a positive impact on individual and organizational performance.
Prior to Johnson Controls, Dr. Dehlinger served as the personnel director for a major Chicago law firm and as head of the management development function for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Earlier experiences in youth advocacy, student counseling and community mental health provided exposure to non-profit service delivery, an area that continues to receive a portion of the firm's attention.
Dr. Dehlinger earned a MS degree in clinical psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh and a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He is a licensed psychologist and has been recognized as a Fellow in the Wisconsin Psychological Association. He has taught at the university level and also maintains memberships in a variety of business, professional
and community service organizations. His expertise is frequently sought and included in area business publications.
